LAUMONT: More than 40 years seeking excellence in the world of truffles and mushrooms
Laumont’s story began in 1980 with the vision of its founder, Josep Maria Serentill, who set up an extensive network of truffle and mushroom hunters and producers with whom the company continues to work with today.
Since then, this network of truffle and mushroom hunters has modernised and become more professional. As the years went by, it mainly focused on growth, opening stalls at the country's leading markets. First, there was Mercabarna, which was then followed by Mercamadrid and Mercabilbao. Today, these spaces still reflect the vitality of the company and sector that is constantly evolving.
Over the next few years, the Laumont brand’s reputation was further strengthened , thanks to the company’s well-defined strategy and its partnerships with leading figures in the world of haute cuisine, such as Martín Berasategui, the chef holding the most Michelin stars in Spain.
Currently, the company is run by Jordi Serentill, Josep Maria Serentill’s son, and Laumont closes 500 transactions a day with the same intuition, passion, professionalism and commitment as in 1980. Laumont's main site and factory in Tàrrega first opened in June 2024 and covers more than 4,500 m2.

Laumont is the only company in Spain that specialises exclusively in selected truffles and mushrooms. A team of more than 3,000 people searches for the best truffles and mushrooms in Spain's forests before they are brought to our selection centre in Tàrrega. From there, we export to more than 60 countries and we assist our customers in taking their services to the next level, whether in the food industry, hospitality or retail sector. Year after year, we make improvements to our products to ensure that we only buy the very best mushrooms and truffles.
Listening helps us to grow. Responding to our customers’ needs has led to the development of our canned, jarred, dried and frozen truffles and mushrooms.

Innovation and Research
Laumont is constantly evolving. In order to improve our products and continue to innovate, we surround ourselves with the best advisors and professionals, such as the Alicia Foundation and the Barcelona School of Tourism, Hospitality and Gastronomy. Their scientists and chefs consider the possibilities for our high-quality truffles and mushrooms and translate them into new products and formulas to help their kitchen deliver the best results. Similarly, we form part of Spain's National Centre for Food Technology, where we work to improve competition and quality in the food sector.
We also have IFS certification, the highest international food safety certificate.
